Is the villa located in a safe area?

Yes, Fairways Green is a long cul-de-sac off the 13th Tee of San Roque I golf course. The course is only accessed through a manned gatehouse and the course is crossed by buggy paths and a perimeter road, it also has a cycling and running track. The villa is alarmed and the resort is patrolled 24 hours a day by on site security. There is a safe to store valuables in the house.

Is linen and cleaning provided?

Bed linen is changed every 7 days. Bedroom towels, beach towels and spare linen is supplied as well. Linen and towels are laundered weekly. Maid service post guest use and once per week is included in the rental charge as is a decent welcome pack with toilet rolls, soap, breakfast type provisions and wine/beers and soft drinks for your first day; additional maid service can be arranged. The house is managed by a very popular guardian couple (English/French/Spanish speaking) who will resolve any villa related issues during your stay. Babysitters can be arranged. The owners encourage people to use cupboard provisions and replace.

Is there anything to do on the resort?

Yes, residets of the golf resort are able to use the facilities of the main resort and hotel, a historic Moorish building and past home of the Domecq sherry family. The new San Roque Golf II 18 hole course and the existing Golf I course are both peaceful sanctuaries to explore. You can view a schematic map of the course, the 13th tee where the villa is located and read all about this beautiful location at San Roque Golf Club. At the hotel, in addition to tennis, horse riding, swimming, snooker and golf, there is also a hair salon, gymnasium and beauty salon.

Another 4* hotel  is located 5 minutes walk from the villa. The clubhouse and both hotels are open all year.

The resort is quiet and residential with many beautiful homes on site and there is a "smart casual" dress code in the hotel bars and "jacket and tie" code in the top class restaurants. The location has local bars, a casino and disco nightlife nearby within a 15 minute drive or cab. The San Roque Golf course is a top class Ryder Cup location, with the new neighbouring San Roque II course, now open as well, and the owners of the villa have Club Membership so it is possible to arrange golf bookings in advance.

Is the villa childproof?

The owners stress that the pool is deep and not fenced off. Children must be supervised at all times around the villa as no pool is safe for a non-swimmer. There are glass coffee tables which can be stored away if children are staying. There are no valuable antiques and the leather furniture and hard floors are quite easy to clean if accidents happen. If your child has a bedwetting tendency please advise and the maids will fit waterproof bed covers. Many windows are fully glazed and children will have to be supervised to ensure they do not run into the sliding doors.
